PROMANT were engaged by Mindil Beach Casino Resort to manage the refurbishment of their 3 million litre saltwater lagoon pool.

We conducted a comprehensive condition assessment of the lagoon pool which included checking of plant operation and dye-testing for leaks in the pool shell. After reporting on the condition of the asset, a scope of work and budget costings were determined.

PROMANT managed the tender and construction of the works through to commissioning and handover to the client.

The works included new ‘Fijian Seas’ pebblecrete finish to some 3000sqM of pool surface, pool water balancing, plantroom restoration and equipment upgrades. Other works included swim up bar rejuvenation, electrical, plumbing works, building and landscaping works.

We recorded the works with timelapse cameras for the client to use for media purposes.

The works were performed by Blueprint Aquatics and the project was successfully delivered to an extremely tight programme and within budget much to the satisfaction of our client. The refurbishment works ensure the client receives a revitalized and upgraded lagoon pool facility that meets their expectations for aesthetics, functionality, and longevity as well as a reduction in maintenance costs, energy costs and pool chemical consumption.
